Rule Change for Combined School Units 9/06/2010
WGI has clarified the rules pertaining to color guards and percussion units that will be comprised of students from more than one school. The primary requirements are:

•Any combined color guard or percussion unit must compete under the name of a single school. For example if the schools combined are Central and North High Schools, they must compete as either Central or North High School.
•The principals of all schools that have students in the combined color guard or percussion unit must sign the roster. This roster must be sent to the UWGA Secretary by December 17, 2010.
•A copy of the school district policy that allows sharing of resources must be provided to the UWGA Secretary by December 17, 2010.
If these requirements cannot be met, the color guard or percussion unit must compete as an independent group. The complete explanation from WGI is posted in the Resources section under "WGI Scholastic Rule for Combined School Units".
